USAID Ukraine Agricultural Marketing Project
The USAID Ukraine Agricultural Marketing Project worked with fruit and vegetable producers to create strong and enduring commercial market linkages. We worked across the market system with producers, processors, wholesalers and retailers to meet the growing demands of consumers. The project increased produce sales by nearly 15 million USD and generated 5 million USD of economic impact from new job creation. Importantly, the project catalyzed the formation of the Market Information System, www.fruit-inform.com, a leading market information service that attracts more than 50,000 monthly users from Ukraine and other Eastern European countries.
