Strengthening food safety and quality in the Middle East

Farmer-to-Farmer Middle East North Africa

Through the USAID-funded Farmer-to-Farmer program, the activity mobilized U.S.-based technical volunteers to complete more than 270 assignments to increase food safety, access to finance, and environmental sustainability.  In Egypt and Lebanon, we partnered with International Executive Service Corps (IESC) to ensure that safer foods reach markets. In Lebanon and Morocco, we partnered with IESC and the High Atlas Foundation to promote sustainable agriculture practices. Since 1987, Venture37 has sent more than 1,400 volunteers - including over 160 of our affiliate Land O'Lakes, Inc. staff and cooperative members - on Farmer-to-Farmer (F2F) assignments in more than 25 countries. These volunteers deliver a range of agricultural expertise to host agribusinesses around the world.
