Improving food security and health care access in Kenya

USAID APHIA Plus Health Service Delivery Project

Under the leadership of Jhpiego, the USAID APHIA (AIDS, Health and Population Integrated Assistance) KAMILI program addressed communities' social determinants of health to improve the well-being of vulnerable populations. Venture37 implemented the project's economic and food security strengthening activities. Our interventions focused on household strengthening and food security in Eastern and Central Kenya and were built on our former PEPFAR-supported work in Ethiopia and Rwanda. The project increased household incomes and expanded consumption of a diverse range of healthy foods for improved food security and nutrition.
