The 130-member Land O'Lakes, Inc. R+D team drives innovation across an extensive range of products. The team, with backgrounds in food science, engineering and business management, delivers cutting-edge expertise in product development, quality standards, packaging and manufacturing processes.

LAND O’LAKES FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY

A team of 70 experts ensures that food safety and quality standards are met across a network of several hundred manufacturing facilities, distribution centers and global suppliers. This group has deep experience delivering HACCP training in both U.S. and emerging markets.

COOPERATIVE MEMBER SERVICES

The combined know-how of nearly 2,000 dairy producers, over 350 independent ag retailers and a dedicated team of service professionals apply best practices in farm management, animal husbandry and animal welfare to improve the health and productivity of dairy and beef cattle.

Constraints associated with the livestock sector often involve unreliable availability of animal source foods delivered to processors, meaning increased production is critical to a well-functioning market system. We address this constraint by working with local actors to ensure our efforts are locally incentivized, scalable and sustainable – especially through times of stresses and shocks. We facilitate connections between livestock farmers and suppliers of the inputs and services they need to improve productivity. Through this, we create linkages to public-private partnerships to facilitate trade and value chain growth.
